The purpose of the CommDev Resource Center is to offer innovative approaches to partnering, project design, or technology in industry-supported Community Development programs. The Resource Center aims to provide practical, accessible, and direct support to the wide-ranging interests of industry, civil society, government, community sectors and non-community development professionals in the form of handbooks, guidelines and toolkits. Sharing Experiences:

Enhancing the Benefits to Communities from Extractive Industry Projects

Summary: The objective of the workshop is to share experiences/training, and raise awareness of the community development work that is going on. The focus is on sharing practical examples of helping communities benefit from extractive industry projects, highlighting the diversity of community development activities (supply chain, social, environmental issues), and discussing successes vs. lessons more generally.
