Gender-Responsive Training Methods: A Guidance Note
Apr 6, 2021
This Guidance Note highlights how training initiatives can respond to women and men’s different needs and learning preferences. It is intended to strengthen the skills and practice of training providers who run technical business courses for entrepreneurs—whether face to face, or virtually. The note seeks to deepen trainers’ understanding of gender dynamics in the learning environment. It also provides practical suggestions and techniques that can support more inclusive participation for the female and male entrepreneurs who participate in training. As virtual instruction becomes an ever-larger part of the learning environment, there is an opportunity to ensure that evolving teaching practices are grounded in the principles of gender-inclusivity.
