Virtual IFC Sustainability Exchange
June 17, 2020 | Online
With communities around the world facing unprecedented challenges due to COVID-19, staying connected and collaborative is more important than ever. Building on a decade of hosting unique in-person fora convening leaders from the infrastructure and natural resources sectors, this year’s online Exchange opened-up to an even broader range of stakeholders from across the world.
The interactive online Exchange convened diverse leaders from around the globe to share urgent insights, pragmatic approaches, and creative collaborations to Connect the Disconnected.
The event provided a platform for action-learning among stakeholders from far-flung areas across the world: infrastructure experts, government champions, social entrepreneurs, community leaders, and digital explorers. We also infused some art, culture, science, psychology and empathy, essential components of meaningful human engagement.
If you are not familiar with the Sustainability Exchange, last year’s event in Dakar, Senegal, featured a Youth Innovations Shark Tank, livestreamed plenary sessions, cutting-edge thought leadership, community theater mobilizers from One Drop Foundation, plus a female-designed fashion show highlighting creative industries in Africa to boost jobs and livelihoods.
