In Mongolia, IFC, BHP Foundation, and Unread Media hosted a “Water and Mining” Data Hackathon. 12 teams of tech savvy youth competed in developing innovative solutions to use natural resource data sets to address water issues. The winning project, “Miners” designed a water allocation decision-making model and developed an educational game to increase stakeholder knowledge.
